Pin of the Week

Spring has finally sprung, making it the perfect season to enjoy meals on the patio.  I adore dining al fresco, and I am certain every bite would be much more flavorful in this fabulous setting.  Picture yourself sipping on this while catching up with dear old friends under an ornate pergola adorned with antique and whimsical hot pink chandeliers.  What a happy place!

Happy Birthday Cade Man!

The littlest man in our family turns ONE today!  Happiest birthday to my sweetest little guy.  To further celebrate his birthday we are going on a little weekend adventure.  See y'all next week!

Pin of the Week

I just love the feel of this nursery designed by New York's CWB Architects and recently featured on Elements of Style Blog.  I especially love the grasscloth walls (that color is so dreamy!), the giraffe lamp and that sweet hot air balloon.  Oh and we cannot forget the zebra!?! Who would have imagined so much style and texture in a space for a little one.

Monster Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated my little man's birthday with a monster mash birthday bash.  I have been pinning ideas for months and narrowing it down to my favorites.  Here is an inspiration board I put together for the occasion.  I will follow up with party pictures, so stay tuned!

Review: Martha Stewart for PetSmart

Last month we welcomed sweet Nolan into our family.  Having a new puppy around is both fun and trying.  He bursts full of energy and at times it can be hard to keep up with.  Trey and I both forgot how hard puppy potty training and discipline can be, especially with two, two and under!  We have made great strides and our home has a new routine to it that includes the needs of all our babies (most of the time).  It also has helped that Nolan is the best puppy ever and would never even think of eating one of the kids toys, or going doo in the house.  And I have not once stepped in puppy pee.  See, he is perfect (ha!).

To make Nolan's homecoming a little smoother, PetSmart was kind enough to supply us with a few items from the Martha Stewart Pets line.  How could I resist?  I have loved Martha for as long as I can remember, and have seen their adorable products in the store.  Nolan is one lucky puppy, and has been enjoying his Martha Stewart Pets Cuddler Bed and Toy in blue as well as his Plush Tennis Ball toy.  Drakey is also feeling the love and has enjoyed some chew time on a few of Nolan's new goodies.

Since we crate Nolan at night, we put his cuddler bed and toy into his crate to create an extra cozy and den-like atmosphere.  When he feels like getting away from the rest of us, you might find him snuggled up in his bed, chewing on a rawhide stick or taking a nap.  The cuddler bed is very soft and cozy, made from minky like fabric with a bone print on the side.  Since we use the bed in his crate, I appreciate that it is machine washable and maintains it's shape even after a few washings.  The little guy is growing like a weed, I think we will both be a little sad when he outgrows this sweet bed.

The second item that PetSmart sent to us, is the Plush Tennis Ball toy in blue.  This is really a 2-in-1 type toy as Nolan gets hours of joy out of playing with both the plush part as well as the tennis ball.  A true retriever at heart, Nolan does prefer playing fetch with the tennis ball that is just his size.  Nolan has been playing with this toy for about 2 weeks now, and it has not been torn to shreds by his little puppy teeth! Thank you Martha Stewart Pets for creating well made toys to pamper our furry babies with!
